New Director Appointed

We are delighted to announce that we have strengthened our position as one of the region’s leading building societies with the appointment of Audrey Green as director.
Audrey has been promoted to Business Development Director here at our Earl Shilton head office and is now the 8th member of the board.

Previously Business Development Manager for the past 12 and a half years, Audrey’s new role will see her take on extra responsibilities as required by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in addition to her regular duties.
Audrey, who worked previously in estate agency before her arrival at the Earl Shilton in 1999, comments, “I am very pleased to have been appointed director here at the Society. Over the years my job has changed quite substantially from on-the-road sales to a more operational role with increased responsibility for the day-to-day running of our two branches, particularly as the ever growing demands of the FSA has meant more work for the chief executive and the finance director. Whilst I will also now be more involved with this work, I look forward to my time on the board and putting a different point of view across as we continue to take the Society forward.”
She added, “I particularly like working somewhere that prides itself on the personal approach. Since members paid their first subscriptions back in 1857, the Society has strived to retain that caring and personal touch, not just amongst its customers but also its employees.”
Rupert Clarke, Chairman of the Earl Shilton, comments, “We are delighted to welcome Audrey to the board of directors. This new role is the culmination of the hard work, determination and commitment she has shown to strengthening the Society’s presence both within the local community and further afield and its reputation with brokers, fellow building societies and financial institutions nationwide. We look forward to her continuing to play a key role in the Society’s future.”
