90% of respondents to our January poll told us they had already obtained their first mortgage by the age of 30.
Three-quarters told us they took out their first mortgage between the ages of 18 and 25, with a further 15% moving onto the property ladder in their late twenties.
10% said they obtained a mortgage for the first time in their thirties, but not one of our respondents had needed to wait until the age of 40 or older.
