Scott Devereux, Chief Executive of esbs, said: “Our Charity Token Collector scheme continues to highlight the generosity of our members and the impact that local organisations make every day. We are proud to support charities working across health, wellbeing, and community safety, and we are grateful to everyone who took the time to vote.”
For Q1 2026, the charities that will benefit from the In the Community scheme are Mencap (Leicester) and FOCUS.
Mencap (Leicester) was founded in 1946 with a vision for the UK to be the best place in the world for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives. The charity campaigns for appropriate funding for social care, access to healthcare and employment, suitable housing, and protection from bullying, working to ensure that people with a learning disability have the same rights as everyone else and are treated equally in society.
FOCUS has been supporting young people aged 13 to 25 for over 30 years, inspiring them to make positive changes in their lives and within their communities. The charity provides a safe environment where young people can develop employability and life skills, build confidence and self-esteem, and access support through an open-door policy, offering someone to talk to and somewhere to go regardless of circumstances.
