esbs website poll results – Do you have an additional source of income? full

With rising living costs and changing work habits, more people are exploring ways to supplement their income. But how common is it to have more than one source of earnings?

In our latest website poll, 67% of respondents said they rely entirely on their primary income, showing that for most, a single job or pension remains their main financial foundation.

22% said they do have an additional income, and that it’s a key part of their financial planning. This group may be using side businesses, freelance work or rental income to help meet long-term goals.

Another 11% said they don’t currently have a second income, but are considering it, perhaps exploring options like part-time work or passive income opportunities.

Interestingly, no one said they have extra income solely for discretionary spending. This could reflect a focus on stability and financial security, rather than topping up spending power.
