Money management is a valuable life skill, so we recently asked if it should it be taught in classrooms.
A resounding 73% of respondents said yes; with rising living costs and an increasingly complex financial world, this majority believes that the earlier people start learning about money, the better. Another 7% agreed that financial education should be taught in schools, but as an optional subject rather than a core part of the curriculum.
13% were on the fence and felt it depends on how it’s taught, which is understandable for what can be a very personal subject.
The final 7% think financial education should be gained through personal experience or guidance from family or mentors.
