Selecting the right financial institution can be a big decision, but what factors influence that choice the most?

In our latest website poll, half of all respondents ranked competitive interest rates as their top priority. Whether it’s savings accounts, mortgages, or loans, it’s clear that people want to get the best possible return on their money or keep borrowing costs as low as possible.

Customer service was the next most important factor, with 33% of voters valuing quality interactions and support. Meanwhile, technological features, such as mobile banking apps and online account management, mattered most to 17% of respondents. As digital banking continues to evolve, convenience and accessibility are becoming key considerations for many customers.

Interestingly, community engagement and social responsibility didn’t receive any votes in this poll. While some institutions highlight their contributions to local causes, our respondents placed more emphasis on practical financial benefits and service quality when making their decisions.
