esbs website poll results – Would, or do you, provide gift bags at children’s birthday parties?

Party bags have been a birthday party staple for years, but are they still a must-have? Last month we asked you to weigh in on whether this tradition is here to stay.

Half of those surveyed keep it simple, letting the kids take a piece of cake home as a sweet treat. A further 25% provide a modest gift bag with small toys or sweets, keeping the gesture low-cost and cheerful. Another 25% think the party is enough and skip gift bags entirely, feeling that the kids don’t need more clutter to take home.

No respondents admitted to going all out with extravagant gift bags, perhaps showing a trend toward simpler, more practical options.
