esbs, or Earl Shilton Building Society, has announced its long-standing sponsorship of Earl Shilton Town Cricket Club for another year.
The cricket club has been an integral part of the community for over 200 years, playing its home matches on Keats Lane. Aspiring cricketers aged seven to 11 form the youth group, while the senior teams are open to anyone aged over 14.
Kyle Chamberlain of Earl Shilton Town Cricket Club said, “We are very happy that esbs has decided to renew its sponsorship of the club in a deal that will help to cover the cost of much-needed equipment, ongoing training, as well as the promotion of the club’s youth outreach.
“We are a friendly, family-orientated club, and as the number of people involved increases, we look forward to offering more, such as specific teams for girls and women.
“Despite the circumstances of the last year we look forward to watching the club grow; with more young players learning about and enjoying the game we’re sure cricket will hold a strong presence in Earl Shilton for a long time to come.”
“On behalf of the club, I would like to thank esbs for their ongoing support.”
Paul Tilley, Chief Executive of esbs, said: “Earl Shilton is fortunate to have such a long-standing and well-respected cricket club central to the local community and we are delighted to continue our sponsorship of Earl Shilton Town CC.
“We hope that the sponsorship will improve the equipment and facilities available to those involved with the club, and that this will help to encourage more people to join.”
