Mortgages for Over 70s – Do I Qualify?

When we think of getting a mortgage, the 25-year term is always something that crops up and for many people who are aged 70 years or over they are often discouraged by this and do not realise that a later life mortgage is still obtainable, even during their twilight years.

It is true, that many lenders won’t offer a mortgage if you are into your 70’s, but at esbs we pride ourselves on catering to people ages 70 – 80 years old by offering a more personalised service and taking everything into consideration when looking to provide a mortgage on a term which can be to age 85 (or to age 80 if any element is interest only).

We can even use employed or self-employed income if it is feasible to do so, and/or state, private and workplace pension incomes. As long as you can prove that you can manage mortgage repayments, you will be considered for an over 70s mortgage.

Whether you are enquiring on behalf of a relative or you are applying for yourself, please get in touch and see how we can help you achieve your dream of getting a mortgage later on in life.
