New director for building society

Gary Little joins the team.

A new non-executive director has been appointed to the board of Earl Shilton Building Society, as the Society continues to develop its services.

Gary Little, 53, is a chartered accountant and has previously held a number of positions in the banking sector, and has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at a fund management business. He is also presently advising a new business start-up and is a Governor and Chair of the Audit Committee at Southampton Solent University.

Gary joined the board of Earl Shilton Building Society earlier this month in a non-executive capacity and also becomes a member of the Audit, Risk Assessment and Compliance Committee and the Nominations Committee.

Gary said: “I’m pleased to be joining a building society with a long and proud history of putting its customers’ interests first.

“I believe in the values and ethics of the Society and feel that my skills and experience can contribute to its continuing success.

“I think there is a great sense of team spirit across the board and staff. The environment is a very open one. As a relatively new entrant, I’m enjoying getting to know people.”

Chief Executive Paul Tilley said: “The Society is delighted to have someone of Gary’s calibre joining us, and his experience will be invaluable to us as we move forward in the best interests of our members.”
