Right to Acquire and Right to Buy
Right to Buy and Right to Acquire Mortgages
If you’ve lived at your council or Housing Association home for some time, you may be offered the opportunity to purchase the property at a discounted price. If that’s you, then you’ve come to the right place!
At esbs, we’ve helped many tenants become homeowners with a specialist mortgage on the Government-backed Right to Acquire mortgage and Right to Buy mortgage schemes.
You may not need a deposit as we can consider lending up to 100% of the discounted purchase price, provided that this is no more than 90% of the open market valuation, or 75% if a leasehold flat or maisonette. And we can even help with home improvements that you may wish to make, again providing the loan is no more than 90% of the open market valuation (or 75% if a leasehold flat or maisonette).
Please note, however, that to qualify for a mortgage on this scheme, the property must be of standard construction.
We know how important your home is to you and that you need the process to be as disruption-free as possible. So, trust our team to understand your individual needs, helping you through the process step by step.
