Moving home is one of the most significant events of anyone’s life, and is often accompanied by its own set of issues and fears.
It can sometimes be the case that these problems manifest themselves in financial terms, whether you’re worried about selling your existing property or being approved for a mortgage on the next one.
For our website poll in July, we asked people what their biggest concerns are when it comes to moving home.
40% of those who participated said not getting the price wanted or needed made them most anxious, while a further 10% were especially fearful that the value of the next house would drop significantly in future.
The remaining 50% was split right down the middle, with one half saying they were concerned about paying too much in estate agents fees, and the other half feeling stressed by the prospect of not being eligible for a mortgage.
|What are your biggest concerns about moving home?||Results|
|Not getting the price wanted or needed||40%|
|Paying too much in estate agents fees||25%|
|Getting a mortgage for the next property||25%|
|The next property dropping in value in the future||10%|
