For our September poll, we put together some handy tips detailing ways by which to save money and asked visitors to our website to share which they would be most likely to pass on to friends and family.
Opinion was split right down the middle amongst 84% of participants, with 42% believing they’d be most likely to encourage others to cancel unnecessary direct debits, while the remaining 42% considered freezing leftover food instead of throwing it away as the most vital means of saving.
11% of those who took part felt that installing insulation in your house to cut down on fuel bills was the best piece of money-saving advice they could give.
The last 5% was made up of those who advocated joining a car sharing scheme.
