Christmas markets have become a staple of the festive season, with their twinkling lights, mulled wine, and endless shopping opportunities, so last month we asked how people really feel about them.
For 38% of those surveyed, Christmas markets strike the perfect balance of a festive way to gather with friends and soak up the atmosphere, but without overspending. Christmas markets are a highlight of the season for 21%, who delight in indulging in the treats on offer.
33% take a more neutral stance; they don’t mind the markets but aren’t going to go out of their way to visit one. Just 8% say “bah, humbug!” to Christmas markets altogether, choosing to avoid them entirely.
