What is the Interest Rate? £10,000 – £500,000             0.75% Gross/0.75% AER

£1,000 – £9,999                   0.10% Gross/0.10% AER

 

AER stands for Annual Equivalent Rate.  It illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded each year.

 

Interest is calculated daily and is variable.  Interest is compounded annually on the last day of February.

How do I open and manage my account?
Can I withdraw money?
  • Yes – 7 calendar days notice is required which begins upon receipt of the passbook by the Society.
  • 25 withdrawals per year (1st March – last day of February).  26th withdrawal and subsequent withdrawals will incur a charge of £5 which will be debited from the account.  The minimum withdrawal amount is £1,000.  Withdrawals can be made by cheque, payable to the account holder only, or by CHAPS, payable to the bank account registered with the Society only.
Additional Information
  • Closure of this account means that a new one may not be opened for 12 months from date of closure.
