Leicestershire-based building society esbs has promoted Stephen Wigfull within its Senior Team, from his role as Finance Director, to Deputy Chief Executive and Finance Director.
Stephen joined esbs as its Financial Controller in August 2016, and was promoted to Finance Director at the end of July 2019.
Prior to his time at the Society, Stephen gained a broad range of experience in the financial sector, having worked in banking roles in both London and Singapore.
“I’m thrilled to have been promoted within the Society and am relishing the chance to face fresh and exciting challenges in my new role,” he said.
“I first joined the Society because I was passionate about being part of an organisation that promotes thrift and home ownership, and I’m pleased that these values are as firmly at the core of esbs today as they have ever been.
In my time here I’ve been impressed by the skills and characters of my colleagues and am very glad to continue working closely with the team.”
Stephen has a keen interest in fitness, and particularly likes running, swimming and cycling. He has completed a 50 kilometre trail run in Salisbury, as well as the London triathlon, and is also a member of the sailing club in Wanlip.
