esbs, or Earl Shilton Building Society, has recently welcomed Abbie York to its mortgage team.
Abbie started her working life in childcare, but upon seeing the Mortgage Administrator role at esbs, felt that was the challenge she’d been looking for.
She said, “The job role description really stood out to me. The Society seemed like somewhere I would feel comfortable to work and feel settled, and so far I’ve been right! Everyone made me feel welcome on my first day, and I’m enjoying that it’s such a small and friendly society. I also like that every day is different and there is always something new to learn.”
Abbie has already gotten stuck into esbs’ community spirit, helping at the recent tree planting event to celebrate five years of the In the Community scheme.
“I love spending time outdoors – In 2023 I went to the Lake District and climbed Scafell Pike which I really enjoyed, so I’ve been trying to spend more time outside. I enjoy an evening on the sofa with a good film and a takeaway too!”
