esbs, or Earl Shilton Building Society, has recently expanded the team at its Earl Shilton head office in Leicestershire.
Shane Dye has been appointed as Business Development Manager while Scott Cufflin is the Society’s new Senior Mortgage Underwriter.
Shane brings a wealth of industry experience to esbs having been in financial services for over two decades. Starting at TSB, Shane worked his way up into the Financial Advice department.
Shane later found a passion for the building society ethos, mortgages, and business development while working at Coventry Building Society for the last eight years and most recently has been managing a team of Telephone BDMs and BDM Support Specialists. He’s very excited to join esbs for its case-by-case approach, and the variety of mortgage products on offer.
“Since esbs is able to consider modern methods of construction and is committed to first-time, professional and self-employed buyers, not forgetting those looking to borrow in later life, there is a huge amount I can help brokers with. It’s very exciting to have an opportunity where you can contribute directly to the future proposition of the business, and especially be part of a team which is committed to providing the broker with the best service.”
Scott had a slightly different career route, having started in property at the age of 18 which then led his interest in mortgages. Like Shane, Scott is familiar with the building society approach since he worked as an underwriter at Hinckley and Rugby Building Society.
“I really like the personal aspect of a building society. Being a smaller society, I feel we can really make a difference to our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance my career with esbs, and I can’t wait to get started.”
Both dedicated fathers and partners, they try to find time for motorsports whenever possible, whether that’s watching Formula One for Scott, or partaking in online simulated races for Shane.
Paul Tilley, Chief Executive of esbs, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new team members to esbs. It is fantastic that we’ve been able to grow to accommodate our customers’ ever-evolving needs, and I’m sure Scott and Shane will be great assets to the team.”
